F.I.S.A.E. Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Amateurs d'Ex-libris
3rd International CGD (Computer Generated Design) Ex-libris Competition 2006
The rules of the competition may be
consulted by clicking
here.
The participation in the competition
was much larger than in the 2nd
competition, with
425
artists from 34 countries
participating with a total of 1338 bookplates. Nearly half
the artists who took part were from
Turkey, and over 70 from Belgium.
The Jury met in Ghent
(Belgium) on the 15th of December 2007
and awarded seven prizes and five
Honourable Mentions.
It was unable to act unanimously,
and had to resort to voting. Including the laureates’ works, a
further 22 artists' works were
selected for the catalogue, and the
list follows below. Further selections of ex-libris
will be made,
to constitute – as space
allows – exhibitions which will
be held in Nyon,
Barcelona, Ankara
and Sint Niklaas in 2008/2009. The
Committee of the 2008 Congress in
Beijing refused to host the
exhibition.
The awards ceremony and the opening
of the exhibition in Ghent will take
place at the Zebra Centre,
Zeebrastraat, Ghent on the 18th of
November 2008.
The
President of the Jury, Prof. Martin
Baeyens, and all jury members
expressed their thanks to the
artists for their participation.
